Cain! - Schecter Demon-6 – Glut Orange UK Exclusive Electric Guitar
Schecter Demon-6 in UK-Exclusive Glut Orange
Meet Cain, a Schecter Demon-6 finished in spectacular Glut Orange, a UK-exclusive colour that manages to make a traffic cone look positively restrained.
Underneath the radioactive exterior is a purpose-built modern metal guitar featuring a 25.5-inch scale, Thin C maple neck, wenge fingerboard, 24 X-Jumbo frets, Schecter Diamond Active HB-105S humbuckers and fixed string-through construction.
Cain arrived at The Stray Chord in excellent cosmetic condition, requiring refinement rather than reconstruction.
Following complete fretwork, servicing and a professional setup, Cain was successfully rehomed for £300.
About Cain
The Schecter Demon-6 is designed squarely for heavier styles, combining a fast-playing neck, high-output active electronics and stable fixed-bridge construction.
Cain's basswood body is paired with a bolt-on maple Thin C neck and dark wenge fingerboard, providing a striking contrast against the extraordinarily bright Glut Orange body.
A full 25.5-inch scale length provides useful string tension for lower tunings, while 24 X-Jumbo frets offer two complete octaves and the substantial fretwire preferred by many rock and metal players.
Electronics are provided by a pair of Schecter Diamond Active HB-105S humbuckers.
The bridge pickup offers the tight attack and definition needed for heavily driven rhythm playing, while the neck position provides a fuller voice for leads and clean tones.
Controls remain deliberately simple, comprising master volume, master tone and a three-way pickup selector.
At the bridge, a fixed Tune-O-Matic with string-through-body construction provides a straightforward and stable setup while transferring string vibration directly into the body.
A Graph Tech Black TUSQ nut and black-chrome hardware complete Cain's decidedly modern specification.
Restoration & setup
Cain arrived in considerably better condition than many Strays and required no major cosmetic or structural repairs.
Instead, his rehabilitation concentrated on improving the playing surface and ensuring the instrument performed to its full potential.
During his time at The Stray Chord he received:
- Complete professional setup
- Glut Orange finish thoroughly cleaned and detailed
- Body and hardware inspected
- All 24 X-Jumbo frets levelled
- Frets crowned and polished
- Fret ends individually dressed and rounded
- Fingerboard edges carefully rolled
- Wenge fingerboard thoroughly cleaned and conditioned
- Schecter Diamond HB-105S active humbuckers tested
- Electronics and controls checked
- Hardware inspected and adjusted
- Neck relief precisely set
- Tune-O-Matic bridge action optimised
- Full intonation
- Pickup heights checked and balanced
- Final electronics and playability inspection
The result was a smoother, more comfortable Demon-6 with consistent fretwork and a properly dialled-in setup across the entire 24-fret fingerboard.
No rebuilding necessary.
Just considerably more demon.

Cain's adoption
💚 REHOMED 💚
Cain arrived looking as though he'd escaped from a radioactive sweet shop and left fully rehabilitated, professionally set up and ready to make an unreasonable amount of noise.
He has now found his new home and is no longer available for adoption.
His page remains permanently in The Stray Chord Rehomed Archive, documenting his rehabilitation and providing a reference for players researching the Schecter Demon-6 in Glut Orange.
Cain may share his name with the first murderer in history, but this one only kills riffs.
