We're Jordan, Sarah, and Damian, a family of musicians, tinkerers, and dreamers from the UK. For years, we've been quietly rescuing forgotten guitars from auctions, marketplace listings, house clearances, and anywhere else we could find them. Some arrived dusty and neglected, some damaged, and some simply forgotten. We've spent countless hours repairing, restoring, and setting them up, and giving each one a second chance at being played and loved.
Now we're taking the first steps towards something much bigger: The Stray Chord, a community-focused music hub built around the idea of rescuing, restoring, and rehoming instruments, while creating a welcoming space for people to connect through music, creativity, and community.
We don't want to create just another guitar shop. We want to create a place where people feel they belong.
🎸 Jordan — Mechanical Restoration
Jordan has been playing guitar since he was young and can play and repair most stringed instruments. He also played horns in orchestras and can turn his hand to most brass instruments. He has a Master's degree in History, ADHD, and a lifelong passion for music. If an instrument can be fixed, there's a good chance Jordan can figure out how.
Jordan currently serves his community six nights a week as a milkman for a local dairy, and somehow still finds time to give every stray guitar the professional setup it deserves.

🥁 Sarah — Cosmetic Restoration
Sarah started playing drums and bass guitar at around 13 years old, thanks to very understanding parents who bought her first drum kit, a Tama Swingstar Fusion, and it was very pretty. More recently she has taken up guitar too. She previously managed a comic book shop for several years and is passionate about creating welcoming spaces. She holds NVQs in customer service and is currently undertaking a PhD in Forensic Taphonomy.
Sarah also has autism and chronic health conditions, which have helped shape her belief that community spaces should be welcoming and accessible to everyone.

🌟 Damian — Mini Moshers Ambassador
Damian is 14 years old, an agency-represented model and actor, and plays drums, guitar, and bass. He loves hiking, wants to travel the world, and regularly reminds us why creating opportunities for young people matters so much. He is living proof that the next generation of musicians is ready and waiting, they just need the chance.

Between the three of us, our music tastes are all over the place... rock, metal, blues, folk, punk, indie, jazz, classical, film scores, and probably a little bit of everything else too.
