Some guitars are made for the stage. Others are made for the studio.

Morticia looks like she was made to stand silently at the end of a dark corridor, waiting for somebody to make a terrible decision.

And frankly, we adore her.

Meet Morticia, a beautiful B.C. Rich Virgin VG1 finished in gloss black, with a dramatic sculpted body, wickedly pointed horns and matching Widow headstock.

She’s every bit as theatrical as her name suggests.

A Distinctive B.C. Rich Design

B.C. Rich have never been particularly interested in creating guitars that blend politely into the background, and the Virgin VG1 is a wonderful example of the company’s unconventional approach to instrument design.

Morticia’s sculpted, bevelled body gives her a striking silhouette, with sweeping curves and dramatically pointed horns that distinguish her from more traditional electric guitars.

Her glossy black finish complements the angular design, while the matching Widow headstock completes the look.

She’s a wonderfully gothic instrument with a commanding presence, equally suited to the stage or a particularly dramatic guitar collection.

Construction and Electronics

Beneath her striking appearance, Morticia offers a straightforward and versatile playing experience.

Her bolt-on maple neck carries a rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, providing plenty of room for lead playing and access to the upper registers.

The 25.5-inch scale length gives her a familiar feel for players accustomed to traditional full-scale electric guitars.

A pair of B.C. Rich B.D.S.M. humbuckers provides powerful, punchy tones suited to rock and metal, while retaining versatility for a range of playing styles.

A three-way pickup selector, master volume and tone controls keep the electronics straightforward, while the chrome wraparound bridge offers a simple and practical alternative to more complicated tremolo systems.

Condition and Workshop Preparation

Morticia is in excellent used condition, with a beautiful glossy black finish, well-presented hardware and only light signs of previous use.

She has received our comprehensive workshop treatment, including fret levelling, crowning and polishing, fingerboard attention, electronics inspection and cleaning, and a full professional setup.

Her action and intonation have been adjusted, ensuring she’s ready to leave us and begin her next chapter.

An Optional Coffin Case

Because of course Morticia has a coffin.

We also have a distinctive Coffin Case available alongside her, featuring a beautiful black patterned interior that looks entirely appropriate for an instrument of such gothic elegance.

The case’s leatherette exterior shows some cosmetic wear from previous use, but the interior presents beautifully, providing an appropriately theatrical resting place for Morticia.

The Coffin Case is available as an optional £100 addition.

Guitar Only: £275

Guitar with Coffin Case: £375

Adopt Morticia

With her dramatic B.C. Rich Virgin silhouette, glossy black finish, twin humbuckers and comprehensive professional setup, Morticia is a fantastic choice for players who appreciate unusual instruments with plenty of character.

She’s elegant, slightly threatening and entirely unapologetic about it.

And if you’d prefer to take her home in her own coffin, we can arrange that too.
