Latios! - Yamaha Pacifica HSS - Metallic Blue

Every Latias needs a Latios.

Fortunately, ours arrived as a matching pair.

Finished in a gorgeous metallic blue, Latios is the slightly tidier of our two Pacificas, although he’s still collected enough little marks during his travels to qualify comfortably as a Stray.

His HSS configuration combines two single coils with a bridge humbucker, operated through a five-way selector alongside simple master volume and tone controls.

It’s an incredibly useful setup, particularly for a newer guitarist who hasn’t yet decided exactly what sort of noise they want to make.

Clean and bright? Absolutely.

Crunchy? Yep.

Turn the gain up and make the neighbours regret moving next door?

That’s what the humbucker is for.

The maple neck carries a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, while a tremolo bridge completes a straightforward, versatile package that’s been making the Pacifica one of the safest electric-guitar recommendations for years.

Latios does show cosmetic wear, including a small finish crack around the neck pocket. We’ve inspected this and it is surface/finish only rather than a structural crack, but we’ve photographed it clearly because nobody enjoys surprises when opening a guitar box.

He’s now been through The Stray Chord workshop, including cleaning, checking, fret work and a full setup, and he’s ready to head back out.

His metallic red counterpart Latias is available separately for £125.

Or, because we’re not monsters, the pair can be adopted together for £225.

Gotta catch… well, these two specifically.

Condition: Used, with cosmetic wear and marks from previous use. Cosmetic finish crack at neck pocket as photographed.
