Atticus! - Stagg H300 Electric Guitar | Gloss Black
Meet Atticus - Stagg H300 Electric Guitar
Gloss Black | 24 Frets | Discontinued Gothic Design
Some guitars look like they were designed in a factory. Others look like they were discovered in the attic of a long-abandoned Victorian manor, carefully wrapped in black velvet alongside a collection of mysterious letters and a diary that ends rather abruptly.
Atticus is very much the latter.
A wonderfully theatrical Stagg H300, Atticus combines the dramatic gothic styling of the early 2000s metal scene with practical hardware, distinctive detailing and a surprisingly approachable playing experience.
A Gothic Classic
Inspired by the unmistakable silhouettes of B.C. Rich instruments, the H300 features a solid alder body with sweeping contours, dramatic horns and a striking gloss black finish.
This discontinued design offers something considerably more unusual than a conventional double-cutaway electric guitar, without requiring an equally unconventional budget.
Atticus is in very good cosmetic condition, with no chips to his pointed body or extremities. Some light surface scratches and swirling are present, consistent with careful use.
24 Frets and Distinctive Cloud Inlays
The bolt-on hard maple neck features a full 25.5-inch scale length, paired with a rosewood fingerboard and 24 frets.
Perhaps the most charming detail is the collection of unusual cloud-shaped fingerboard inlays, providing a rather unexpected contrast to the guitar’s otherwise sinister appearance.
We prefer to think of them as little clouds of mist drifting across the grounds of his ancestral estate.
Humbucking Power
Atticus is fitted with two Stagg HWW humbuckers, offering the thick, punchy sound associated with rock and metal playing.
A three-way pickup selector provides access to the neck pickup, bridge pickup or both together, while a single master volume control keeps operation simple and intuitive.
The fixed Tune-o-matic-style bridge and stopbar tailpiece provide a dependable arrangement without the additional maintenance associated with floating tremolo systems.
Restored and Ready to Play
As with every guitar passing through The Stray Chord workshop, Atticus has received our comprehensive service and setup, including fret levelling, crowning and polishing.
Our aim is to ensure that every instrument leaves us in the best possible playing condition, ready for its next chapter.

Unfortunately, the ancestral estate and family fortune are not included.
And we strongly advise against asking what happened to his previous three wives.
