Latias! - Yamaha Pacifica HSS - Metallic Red

Some guitars arrive at The Stray Chord looking as though they’ve spent their entire lives carefully tucked into a padded case.

Latias did not.

One half of our matching pair of Yamaha Pacificas, Latias has collected a few battle scars during her previous adventures. There are dings, scratches and cosmetic marks across that gorgeous metallic red finish, but underneath them is exactly what made the Pacifica such a ridiculously successful guitar in the first place.

She’s simple, comfortable and enormously versatile.

Her HSS pickup configuration pairs two single coils with a bridge humbucker, with a five-way selector allowing you to move from bright, articulate cleans to considerably meatier humbucker territory.

A maple neck and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard provide a comfortable playing platform, while the tremolo bridge adds another option when required.

This is exactly the sort of guitar we love rescuing.

Latias doesn’t need to be pristine. She needs to be played.

She’s been through The Stray Chord workshop, cleaned and checked throughout, with our usual fret work and full setup completed before adoption.

For somebody looking for their first proper electric guitar, an inexpensive backup or simply something they can play without panicking about causing its first mark, she makes enormous sense.

And, of course, she has a twin.

Her metallic blue counterpart Latios is also available for £125.

If somebody can’t bear to separate a legendary pair, Latios and Latias can be adopted together for £225.

Poké Balls not included.

Condition: Used, with visible cosmetic wear, dings and scratches. Please see photographs.
