In exceptional condition, the Vulcan 8920V is as close to a time capsule as it gets! Super low frets and a flat fretboard radius, this was made as an affordable shredder. She arrived with us in great cosmetic condition, but with all the problems 80s MIK guitars are known for. She had lacquered over uneven frets, super tight sticky nut slots, crackly electrics, and the action was in the sky, but we couldn’t let her stay that way!\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"auto\"\u003eSarah cleaned up that incredible aged “Olympic” white finish, aged into a soft ivory, giving her a deep clean, a three stage polishing process keeping her character but getting rid of the hazing and giving her a mirror shine, with a carnauba wax finish.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"auto\"\u003eJordan then took the one piece hard rock maple neck, and levelled, crowned, and polished those super thin frets, taking the factory fit, flat spotted frets, and turning them into the racetrack they were meant to be!\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"auto\"\u003eHe then flushed and cleaned her 250k pots and 5 way blade selector, and selectively reflowed solder to refresh her classic SSS bark without any of the “old guitar” noise!\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv dir=\"auto\"\u003eWe adjusted and graphite lubed her nut to fix the typical tuning stability issues, set the neck relief and adjusted her bridge action, taking her action to a good low level, free of buzz and without choking out on those big bends!
