She really is that yellow.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe RG350M takes the familiar superstrat recipe and turns the 1980s dial firmly back up: a lightweight basswood body with those unmistakably sharp RG contours, a 25.5-inch scale and a three-piece \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWizard II maple neck\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, topped with a maple fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe result is exactly what you’d expect from an RG. Thin, quick and alarmingly easy to get yourself into trouble with.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBut Beatrix isn’t entirely factory specification.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSomebody decided the original HSH pickup arrangement wasn’t quite interesting enough.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSo they went shopping.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAt the neck sits an upgraded \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDiMarzio humbucker\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, giving Beatrix considerably more authority than the original Ibanez pickup she left the factory with. In the middle is a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSeymour Duncan Hot Rails\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, squeezing humbucker behaviour into a single-coil-sized package.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAnd then there’s the bridge humbucker.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt’s green.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBecause apparently by this point colour coordination had been formally abandoned in favour of chaos.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eYellow. White. Green.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe respect the commitment.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe three pickups are controlled through the familiar five-way selector with master volume and tone, giving Beatrix considerably more range than her appearance might suggest. There’s plenty available here, from big neck-humbucker sounds to aggressive bridge tones and all manner of interesting combinations in between.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAt the other end is an \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIbanez Edge III double-locking tremolo\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, paired with a locking nut and black hardware, because obviously the guitar equivalent of a fluorescent warning sign also needed the ability to dive-bomb.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe maple fingerboard is particularly lovely on this one. Against the yellow body and matching yellow headstock it gives Beatrix that unmistakable old-school RG appearance, with simple black dot markers rather than anything unnecessarily decorative.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBecause clearly the rest of the guitar has already handled decorative.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBeatrix has been through The Stray Chord workshop for our full rehabilitation process, including inspection, deep cleaning, fret levelling, crowning and polishing, fret-end attention, hardware and electronics checks and a complete setup.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eShe carries some honest signs of her life, particularly around the black pickguard and hardware, but overall she has survived remarkably well for something visible from low Earth orbit.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBeatrix isn’t restrained.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eShe absolutely isn’t going to match your living room.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBut if you’ve ever looked at a sensible black guitar and thought, “yes, but what if it could be seen from space?”\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWe may have found your Stray.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eRescue • Restore • Rehome\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"The Stray Chord","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58721837449480,"sku":null,"price":350.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1059\/2829\/4664\/files\/62884DB1-E2D5-4A96-8C78-50D74ACDF4A9.jpg?v=1789330172","url":"https:\/\/thestraychord.com\/products\/beatrix-ibanez-rg350m-ye-2010-yellow-upgraded-hsh","provider":"The Stray Chord","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
